White label
Software built by one company and deployed under another company's brand and customer relationship.
In a white-label arrangement the licensee owns the market-facing identity, pricing and customer contracts; the provider owns the software, hosting and roadmap. Customers of the licensee typically never learn who built the platform.
It is chosen for speed to market and to avoid maintaining a permanent specialist engineering team for infrastructure that is not the licensee's core differentiator.
