CaaS (Capability as a Service)
A specific capability — such as payment acceptance, wallet issuance or dispatch — delivered as a managed service embedded in the client's own systems.
Where SaaS delivers a product with an interface, CaaS delivers a function. The client keeps its own user experience and embeds the capability through APIs, while the provider operates the capability, its integrations and its ongoing evolution as a service.
CaaS suits organizations that already own the customer relationship and the front end, and need the operational machinery behind it rather than another application to log into.
